If i were running the Pelicans I would trade Zion, Murphy, and Herb and try to get six first rounders out of those three, with the picks beginning in season 2029.
Then take on some bad contracts over the next two years to get a few more first rounders and have 15 first rounders over 6 years beginning in 2029.
With flattened odds they will get a few top four picks
There is no way they challenge for top 5 in the current west over the next four years.
Too many teams will be better than them. SA, OKC, LAL, Den, and Hou are better now, and even Dal and Utah have better yound players.
