I don't buy that Jayjay, this was a move the Hornets decided they were going to make long before our pick. We picked for a team for heavens sake, that doesn't happen because suddenly your guys are gone.

One could spin this in a positive way:

Demps has been given a budget higher than we think. This gives him more wiggle room to deal with FAs within the budget, and he truly didn't think anyone would help us.

I don't believe it, but there you go.

Iggy and Monta are still out and about. So anything can still happen. *sigh*

Maybe its cuz I haven't eaten that I'm so miffed by this. I dunno.

If this were a 1st i'd agree but it's mid 2nd rounder. Odds are Harrellson rides the bench in the D-league for the next few years and then is back in Kentucky in jorts. If they had passed on picking all together I wouldn't have even been that upset.

What if SA sold Manu? Or Blair?

What if the Saints just traded the selection they used on Colston just because they didn't want to add a contract? I don't even know what I'm saying because none of these guys even get guaranteed contracts.

I like Dell. I think he's lying his arse off.

But we will see.

It was a brilliant move.

A second round pick who can play would have hurt Belinelli's confidence.

It's a win-win. Marco feels better and we make a million bucks.

Dell's just trying to save his arse from the fans.

ESPN is saying it right now, we could have taken a guy overseas and just let him stay there for a while. We wouldn't have needed to give him a penny for like four years.

Thank you

For those who want to cop out behind "2nd rounders dont do anything" you are pathetic

Its all a gamble, 1st round odds are better yhan 2nd round odds, BUT you dont get shite unless you put your money on the table.

We chose to go home with our tail between our legs

There were options at our pick that would have addressed our scoring issues.

No there aren't if they're was anybody in this draft that could contribute significant minutes next year they would have been taken before the 45th pick.

Eman, I think you're so mad because you are an optimist. Translation: your expectations are out of wack with reality.

I just don't know what to say. Obviously my first thought is that we didn't want to take on salary, which is bullshite. But then I remember that you don't even have to pay 2nd rounders.

I don't know what to make of this. I guess the NBA was hurting for a million dollars?

I think a good majority of hornets fans need to wake up and smell the roses...no big free agent has, or ever will come here. NO is one of the smallest markets in the NBA.

We are not going out and signing a big up and coming FA without grossly over paying them (James posey). Our best shot is building with the picks we do have and hoping that they will develop and gain a bond with the team. We have very little cap flexibility as it is, and possibly less with the new CBA.

I've given up on the team until I see visible progess. My other teams I like are progressing though...

This is the kind of attitude that breeds losers

Why even have a second round?

No it's the type of attitude that realizes that mid to late 2nd rounders aren't valuable. The amount of guys drafted 45 or later that actually even suit up is fairly minuscule.

We don't need fricking Kobe Bryant here, we just need a scoring spark. Now we have the exact same product as last year.

How many teams take a euro player and keep him where they are from for a few seasons? Then 3 or 4 years later they come over and contribute, if not right away during their second season. I'd say half the NBA has guys like this. The best thing? It costs you NOTHING until you bring the guy over.

frick the NBA. We will have to start cheating or doing some ohio state illegal shite. I'm tired of being fricked over because we are a small market team.
