We match up terribly with them. They've blown us out like 4 out of the last 5 times we've played them

That’s not a matchup problem, that’s a health problem. We shite the bed once this year, but Zion typically plays well against them.

We were fully healthy the second time we played them this year and were down by like 20 then BI got his infamous toe injury. Next time we were missing just BI and got blown out and zion had 9 TOs. Adams owns JV, and that allows JJJ to swat everything near the basket

1.5 games without Ingram.

It’s been gone back and forth since the Zion/Ja draft, we rattled 5 in a row off them at one point and again, health has played a factor.

Adams may own JV, though I actually think JV can get the upper hand if coached properly, but we have at worst 3/5 best players on the floor.

I just think that they have absolutely elite rim protection and we arent a jumpshooting team. When we aren't able to attack the rim our offense craters.

Side note, how awesome would it be to have desmond bane on this team. he would be an absolute perfect fit

now do bench.
approximate importance:
tyus jones best nba backup pg
brandon clarke power inside
Santiago Aldama capable big in all facets. a steal @ #30.
new shooter. luke kennard.
david roddy
the indiana purdue ft wayne ufa.konchar.

memphis bench is very good and they seem happy.
its why they can win with a star out.
jones and clarke are solid.
aldama is improving in his year2. was 30th pick round1. another gem picked up for a couple 2nds. like bane the year before.
roddy was pretty good on offfense day1.
the new shooter kennard will spell bane.
williams. missed time with knee. not yet in best form. they got him at 10th instead of tm3. oof.
he was effective in his stints in 22 playoffs. might be ready by playoffs.

the memphis depth is the test. none of all star material. many solid in role.
pels have yet to know what their rotations will be.
dyson, tm3, Alvarado, kira, nance. new shooter too.

zion being out prevents team from playoff rotation guys being set.

i think the memphis comfort level is the difference.
and they are waaaay better at home.
i think this is the wrong opening matchup.
memphis won a tough first round series and were competitive vs champ gsw.
won 2 before morant out games 5 and 6.

Sacramento is the answer.
barnes is their only experienced playoff guy and hes on the slide downside. got champ ring with gsw curry. got Olympic gold. solid.
fox is so fast.
sabonis is terrific all around.
their rookie taken 4th is a good one.
