Aren’t we like the poster child for why deliberate tanking is pretty idiotic with the new smoothing?
I think they’ll take their time but there is no reason to not get him back next year and try and build a winning culture. We aren’t making the playoffs and winning some extra games is probably win-win. Builds the culture while not really harming our draft chances all that much.

On another plus side, I love having Joel on TNT.
First Pelicans centric national voice and it’s refreshing.
On the negative, he’s doing pretty good and the beauty of our situation is Joel is this unheralded gem that I am hoping isn’t getting poached.

I think we can but it has to be within a certain time window. I don’t think we can take the break to look at it and then challenge.
