MPJ for Zion straight up. Pels get 3pt shooter and plus rebounder, Nets get the 'star' illusion gamble and the option to waive Z unguaranteed next offseason to have super cap space.

I suggested this awhile back. I actually think the Nets might include one or two of those Knicks picks that they got. MPJ alongside Murphy is an interesting pairing. They are very similar and I think compliment each other better, especially when combined with Fears and Queen..

I would do that in a heartbeat. Fears, Herb, Trey, MPJ, Queen would be a very fun lineup to watch. Also gives you 75 million in expiring contract next season with MPJ and Poole to take on bad contracts for picks

When talking about Herb's trade value...we're talking about ONLY a specific "type" of team that would be interested in picking up Herb...namely, a seriously contending team that thinks Herb would be the role player that could put them "over the top"...PLUS...especially if that particular team was facing a tight "window" to try & "win now".....like the Warriors are, since Curry doesn't have many years left.

We just watched the Warriors destroy us. Both Moody and Podz had great performances. The Warriors seem pretty committed to both. Do you think they would give up either of those for Jones? Or do you think that Jones would actually take minutes from either? The Warriors need size and front court depth.

NOW...GS does NOT need or want Herb since they are in totally different situation...BUT...they can easily trade Herb to another contending team that is also looking for that type player

I'm looking at the "contending" teams, looking for a fit and a great package. I do not see it. None of them have matching pieces and most have limited draft capital.

For fun, the most loaded team would be the Thunder. Maybe if they had a serious injury, like Dort, and needed wing depth. They might be interested in Jones (but they would want Murphy more). But are they giving up Joe or Wiggins for him? I don't think they would. So how else would they match salary?

Of course, that's just my opinion...I COULD...be wrong. But, I guess we'll find out around January 15th or so

I don't think we'll move Jones. The organization loves him and he doesn't make waves. I think he had good value a couple of years ago. But that does not exist anymore, especially after he got extended.

He's not a starting level player in the NBA. No serious "contender" would slot him that way. What I mean by that is that he couldn't start for any elite team in the NBA. I think he's a high level reserve at best..

OK...first off...any trade with GS...would almost surely involve Pels getting Kuminga and a 1st round pick...and GS would get Herb and a salary filler (probably Looney)...BTW...GS is not overly fond of PODZ, I'll be surprised if he's there much longer.

On OKC...they are so loaded they are one of the few teams that DON'T need a Herb-type player. So, forget them...BTW...They will not reup Dort...he's history very soon. It would be the right move...and they are notorius for making the right move.

Nuggets would have to jump through some hoops to go after Herb...but with, what I think is a top 5 player of all time...AND a "short window"...anything is possible especially if Braun (currently injured) doesn't work out the way they hope. They finally unloaded Porter, Jr and most assume what they got for him...Cam Johnson...will be gone fairly soon.

I won't go into other "contending" teams, since this is already getting too long...but rest assured...it would include the Lakers...Spurs...and one or two more. Always remember...if a contending team truly wants to go after a particular player...there is almost ALWAYS a way to make it happen.

Dude you were defending the Queen trade and talking this team up for months,

Still will.

so you really cant call anyone retarded or talk shite and expect anyone to take you seriously

I was not the one who talked shite in this thread. I don't think I've been in an argument with anyone since the season started. Y'all are just salty because we look like shite and I get it.

Several of us told you how bad this team/season was gonna be, you dug in and ignored reality

The only reality I ignored was the injury curse that we still haven't escaped. The problem is clearly Zion and we need to blow it up.
