She has yet to renew the lease to SKC which expires in 2025. Is that true?

Probably looking at LeBron in the league for 2 decades and thinking that Zion was not the next LeBron generational player.
And we just gave him over $150 Million to hang out on the bench for most of another season ...

Don't worry, the Pels will be here to torture you for years to come.
First all indications are they plan to renew when the time comes:
quote:
The Pelicans’ lease at the Smoothie King Center expires on June 30, 2024. With roughly 18 months remaining on the deal, every indication from team and state representatives is that the Pelicans will exercise their option on an extension to remain at their downtown arena for most, if not all, of the 2020s.
“Their intention is to extend the lease,” said Doug Thornton, the vice president of stadiums for ASM Global, which oversees lease negotiations with the Pelicans for the state's Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District (LSED). “We’re going to determine what capital improvements need to be made. We’re always putting money into the arena. The question is how much?”

Second, teams moving is not currently on the table for the NBA. Not only are teams more profitable than ever in the NBA, LINK they want to expand by 2 teams and get the $2-$3 Billion expansion fees each that comes with it.
Anyone saying "that terrible team is going to move" is just regurgitating last decade's bad narrative that fits even less in today's NBA.
