Without the benefit of hindsight, what decisions has Gayle made with the Pelicans that were immediate mistakes?

And then with hindsight, what Pelicans mistakes has Gayle ignored and failed to attempt redressing?
I'm not sure the relevance of this to the point I made that you replied to?

Do yall feel like she's cheap and cutting corners and that it's detrimental to team success? Was this team really close enough to justify entering the luxury tax this year?
I feel like you cannot say an owner is not cheap if that owner is presiding over the only team in the NBA to never pay the tax. Or, 1 of only 2 teams, that is.

I'm not trying to put her on a pedestal, it's just my belief that Pels missteps are more from Griff's mistakes hiring coaches and putting the roster together. Or do we want to just talk about Griff and debate his job security and whether continuing to keep him is Gayle's mistake?
If you think the POBO in year 4 has failed and is not fired, why is that NOT the owner's responsibility?

Gayle will need to decide whether to pay the luxury tax for a team that is winning
This is my point above. If you don't know the answer to this and make this statement, then you can't also argue that she's unequivocally not been cheap.

Back to back winning seasons for the second time in franchise history. On the verge of being in the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 years.

Yall need to take a step back from the ledge for real. I'm pissed the way things are going to but we're also missing the second best player on our team.

She's owned the team since about 2018 and there hasn't been a team worth going into the tax to support. They cleaned house with an apparent plan to build a team, which they've been doing. We're only now coming up on decisions that will impact whether to go into tax. I can't fault her for not going into the tax this season, but if they tear up this team without improving all to avoid the tax then I'll blame Gayle.

I agree that the POBO is Gayle's responsibility, and, outside of tax determination, I'd say it's her most important decision. If he deserves to be fired and is not then, yes, it's on her. It's now Griff's 5th season and there's been enough time to decide if the team is ascending, descending, or stagnant. I think they're more ascending than stagnant but need better coaching and roster tweaks to keep improving. But if disagreeing then Gayle can fire Griff.
