I like JaMychal Green. Can probably get him for a very reasonable price and while he's not a great rim protector, he checks all of the other boxes.

I'm not sure what Horford is looking for, but i do know that Joel talks about how great he is as a person all the time, and that he's one of the best guys in the league to have in the locker room.
I do'nt want to go wasting all of our cap space, especially on a guy that i know won't be part of our future, but Horford is the perfect player to add to this team, both on the court and off.
I know he wants a 4 year deal, or at least a 3 year worth $60M at a minimum and probably looking for $75M, and i'm sure he wants to go somewhere he can win. If he wanted 3 for $66M, i'd do it.

We could always send Moore out in a S&T, or simply to another team to create more space if we wanted it.

I'm for Horford on a 3-year deal. Dead against on a 4-year deal.

My understanding is that Horford wants a ring or money.

And we aren’t offering a ring during the next three years barring a miracle.

Horford has some experience with successful young teams and checks the boxes. That would be my 1st choice

I agree, but i think that's what he is looking for.
Milsap took a 3/90 deal from Denver, with the 3rd year a team option, as a 32 year old.
Horford signed for 4/113 at the same time Milsap did, with a player option for the 4th year, as a 30 year old

33 year old Horford wants a 4 year deal, but i can't see anyone giving him that. Even 3 years is a lot, but he is a guy that has never really relied on his athleticism to be effective.

problem is he just turned down $29 mil and thinks there is a $100 ml contract out there for him. typically if you drop a year, you increase the $$. so if he'd be looking for $25 mil/4 yrs, you would probably have to go to $28 mil/3yrs or $29mil/3 yrs. I'd be really tempted to do that

He was offered a 3 year deal in Boston and is reportedly leaving for a 4 year deal (rumor is Mavs). Too much money for such an old guy.
