NOLA had a bad rap in the NBA. Zion has completely changed that narrative and I love it

Maybe for Ingram. I’m still unsure about Lonzos desire to stay here

Why would he want to leave? He’s having career highs in all his stats and he gets to play next to the future face of the NBA for the next 5-6 years.

Why? Lonzo and Zion played so well together. He will only get better playing with big Z. I’m sure he realizes Z will help him get paid

Players aren't stupid. Zion is on a path straight to the moon. They aren't going to jump off the rocket ship.

That isn't an answer to why you think Lonzo is unsure of staying here long term.

Kid came from a big city with friends that probably only talk about him being in a big market or coming back to LA. Especially if he continues to improve. You see this time and time again

Zion is the biggest thing in the NBA right now. Playing alongside him as his starting point guard seems pretty tough to want to walk away from.

not if you think you can join a big market team, in your hometown, and be competitive for them. Lonzo might like that redemption arc of coming back and competing. I’m not saying he’d leave us now but who knows mid way through his second contract. You’d think you guys would have learned by now after Chris Paul and AD. Nothing is set in stone

The think that concerns me about Lonzo is if LeMelo ends up in a big market like the Knicks. Would be want to play with LeMelo there or go to a team in a bigger market as well?

Who knows what will happen further down the line. But, when we got AD we didn't have a good team and had Rivers coming in. I don't think we had a good team with CP coming in either. I don't think you can really fault AD for wanting to leave after Demps threw away some of his best years with shite contracts. I'm not sure how much better of a situation you can find yourself in than what Lonzo is in right now. You have potentially the next greatest player in the league in Zion, a superstar in BI, Jrue, Hart, Hayes, Melli plus all of Lakers future picks. This team will build and contend for years and Zo is the man bringing the ball down the court for the foreseeable future.

Ball was pretty much playing himself out of the league prior to coming down here. He knows what it’s like to play in an offense that he doesn’t fit into. He is such a good situation now that he’d be crazy to want to leave and risk taking steps back after a massive jump in his development which still has a ways to go.

He’s built to run this offense and with Williamson, he gets to play his game and not worry about being locked into a box by other coaches and style of offense.

Ball will be here as long as he’s welcome here. I can’t see him wanting to go anywhere anytime soon.

We all thought the same thing with Anderson, Jrue, AD, Gordon, and Tyreke as a team that could be very competitive. I hope you’re right but this team needs to start making progress and showing they have the ability to be a competitive team in the next year or so for these guys to truly buy in. One mishap during the next season or two and guys like Lonzo might bail for Lamelo or LA. You’re putting way too much trust in a 21-22 year old kids word to his boss.

TL;DR

All I’m saying is just because he said he wants to be here for the long run doesn’t mean he’ll actually commit to that. He’s just talking to his boss. PG said the same thing to OKC and then a few months later left them behind

For starters Gordon never ever wanted to be here.

I'm not sure if you have seen videos of these guys off the court. All of the guys under 24 seem to be very, very close. These guys have only played 19 games together with Zion. We saw the spark they had before shut down. I just really can't see Zo wanting to leave this team for a while.

Hey we’ll see man I hope you’re right. I just know how the players in this league are and you can’t ever fully trust their commitment
