The Western Conference has always been so deep. There hasn't been anyone to make the playoffs in the West with a losing record since the 90s, but it's going to happen this year.

Not only are we only 6 games back of the #8 seed, the #7 team right now (OKC) is trying to trade Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari and go for a full rebuild, so they will likely drop way back in the standings.

And we have the NBA's 5th-easiest schedule for the rest of the season. LINK

It really comes down to what Griffin wants to do. Does he want to sell Jrue and/or others and tank for a draft pick? I don't think so. We have lots of future picks.

I think that he wants to develop Zion in the environment of a winning team, and he still has the opportunity to do that. So, instead of selling, I think that Griffin is buying.

The two players that I would go get if I were Griffin would be Patty Mills and Myles Turner, both of whom should be available for the right price.

With Zion back and our easy schedule the rest of the way, it's not going to be possible to tank, and we don't want to anyway. So, let's just go ahead and make the playoffs.
