Okay well now we have Ariza starting at SF. And we have Peja as the backup presumably. And MT5 as the starting SG and Marco as the backup we are all guessing. So I guess Quincy will just sit the bench next year or someone else will..?

Does anybody have any real inside sources to if we are going to get rid of Peja soon or to if anything else is going to happen to clear up the cluster frick of good deserving wingmen we have?

And btw I like the move the Hornets made. And Ariza isnt going to have to be the big time scorer like a bunch of people are thinking. CP3, MT5, and DWest will be the primary guys.

I was wondering the same thing, unless they were just going to use Marco as the backup PG.

I could see us having Marcus running the point with Belinelli at the 2 sometimes...

Maybe it's just me but I sort of assumed Belinelli could play some point. He's completely different from a Paul/Collison type because he seems to play shoot-first. Granted I haven't seen him play a ton, but he has decent ball handling ability and is a good fast break guard from what I can tell. I could envision a platoon where he and Thornton split the backup PG minutes, with Pondexter getting some reserve work at both 2 and 3.

With what we have now, I honestly think Belenihi will be the point with marcus staying as the SG.

Although they may go back and forth with it and see who's better at it.

Ariza is probably a better player than David West, just not a better scorer. West is the kind of player who puts up stats but doesn't win games, the exact opposite of a guy like Shane Battier, if you will.

Hornets have some good perimeter talent w/ Paul/Ariza/MT5... the frontline is the glaring issue that can/will get exposed against bigger teams like Boston, Portland, LA, Dallas, etc.

Size wise, marcus at pg and Marco at sg makes more sense, but Marcus is obviously a volume shooter and fits much better in the sg role. Marco only averaged 17 minutes per for the raptors last year, so I think he'll probably be the guy that just comes in to give Paul and MT5 a breather.
