Word starting to circle around NBA front offices of a potential increase in the 2022-23 salary cap. Multiple teams have indicated the cap could raise as high as 10%, from a projected $122 million.

The NBA's salary cap for the 2022-23 season is projected to come in at roughly $123.6 million, sources told ESPN. That is an $11.6 million increase from last year's salary cap figure of $112 million.

Just a little more breathing room under the tax line.

I’m being told the most it could jump would be up to $123.6 million. 10% increase would be from last years’s cap of $112.4 million.

2 mill is still pretty helpful to a team like us. It would allow us to cut Temple without any savings at all and sign Lidell and still be under the tax, with no other moves.

Pretty sure we had enough to do that even with 122 mil as the cap. Would've had us about 500k shy, now we're about 1.7 mil shy of the tax (with adding an EJ guaranteed contract).
