Actually, a third friend voiced his displeasure by calling me and a coworker scoffed at it at work this morning. Also, there have been quite a few other posters in this very thread who hate it.

I get having a mascot that represents our state, but this is lame as shite. A lot of people in Louisiana will like it, but the nation as a whole will think this is one of the gayest mascots ever.
Fortunately a mascot has nothing to do with team performance.

Not really sure why that even matters. We're all aware there are people that don't like it. That's their prerogative.
