JV always tries, he just sucked tonight. BI was the complete focus of the other team and didn’t exactly have a lot of options to help offensively. His defense stunk but that unfortunately isn’t unusual. I think it’s ridiculously unfair to say he gave no effort tonight. But I would expect you to say that.

Yeah I would expect you to defend BI playing hard. He hasn’t played hard a majority if this season including this game. He gave no effort on defense. He didn’t pass the ball at all or try to swing it. He didn’t remotely try to get this team going. Its a joke if you think BI did his best in this game. He played status quo thats not giving maximum effort. He didn’t raise his game when his team needed him.
JV sucked but also lacked concentration and effort tonight. Not as much as BI but Ive seen JV give more effort and have more focus then tonight.

Good Lord. The guy had 6 assists (only 2 turnovers) and that’s with Larry blowing 2 easy layups at the rim and Kira blowing another. Seriously, what the frick do you want from him? This hatred of him is insane. I get the bitching about his defense, I get the negativity about his toughness. But tonight saying he gave no effort is ridiculous.

Yeah ok man. I disagree and you can bitch about that all you want. But I’ve seen him give maximum effort last year in the 10 game win streak and the year before. This was not giving effort it was going through the fricking motions and its typical of his early season play this year. I get you think his effort was enough, but I expect more from a guy who people on this team have basically said is our leader. He wasn’t even trying to get into our offense- it was fricking dribble dribble- 3 seconds left- tough mid range shot. The fact you get pissed at people questioning his effort is ridiculous.

Seriously, what was our offense tonight?? Really try and answer that. We started a guy who had never played a game with the team before. We started Dyson, who much as I like him, struggles offensively, and we started a rookie, who good as he has been, all of a sudden is pretty much our only perimeter option. Do you think we were going to seamlessly run the offense we run when Zion and CJ are out there? Do you really think that? I’m interested.

This team and organization is a cluster frick. Probably top ten roster when healthy but they are never healthy. So the roster that’s constructed is a bottom 5 when health is factored in. It’s not just bad luck. Something is being mismanaged. The pelicans are never healthy and weren’t healthy as the hornets either. You can be that “unlucky”.

I don’t know maybe try to find a way to get the ball to Hawkins or work with him to generate better offense than a shitty tough mid range jumper. Again if you think he gave full effort than this brand of basketball is exactly for a fan like you.
And newsflash- he hasn’t seamlessly ran the offense with CJ and Zion. Wtf are you talking about? I could bring up tons of stats but his plus/minus is abysmal this year including this game.

You can keep this up all night but it doesn’t make it any less true. He had at least 4 or 5 buckets at the basket tonight (and if you don’t understand a driving layup is not a mid range shot). He had 6 assists with three blown layups costing him three assists, but he got no one involved. How do you say shite like that when it’s just patently untrue? Was he great defensively, not even close; did he force some shots; of course but did you expect anything other than that with what we were putting out on the court tonight? He was the main reason we were even in the game for the quarter we were in it. Then a much better team that didn’t miss much kicked our arse. But if it makes you feel better to say he didn’t try then fricking do it.

The mistake you made was entering this season with any expectations this early on.
I think the last two seasons has taught us that it doesn't mean shite how good or bad you play until the trade deadline.
