Will Guillory

@WillGuillory
Pelicans Summer League coach Kevin Hanson says Frank Jackson will start with a 25-minute restriction in Las Vegas. He will be allowed to play back-to-backs

Diallo should dominate this SL. If not, I'd have concerns.

exact reason I don't want him to play summer league. nothing for him to gain, a lot to lose imo

Cheick is looking a good bit thicker in the upper body this year.

quote:

Now, he wants to take another leap and prove he can be leader and winner, which is why he volunteered to make yet another trip out to Las Vegas. But, he claimed he didn’t want to divulge all of the secret developments.

“I’m expanding my game into a little bit of everything,” Diallo said. “I can’t talk about it right now. I want you guys to see it with your own eyes.”

First game today vs Raptors on ESPNU at 2:30 central. Not sure who is playing for the Raptors, but excited to see Frank and Tony with Cheick.

The chance for him to gain some more confidence, and work on his game could be beneficial. I also think he could play somewhat of a mentor role to Jackson and Carr.

Trevon Blueitt has some range with a pretty quick release. 38% from 3 in 831 college attempts. 42% his senior year in 252 attempts. Could be an interesting guy to watch

Kevin Hanson when speaking about Tony Carr:

quote:

The offense is not going to flow through Tony. And it’s not going to flow through him in summer league either. It’s going to flow through Frank. So, he’s got to learn to play off the ball and when the ball gets in his hands, he has to learn to make quick decisions. The ball stuck in his hands a little bit in college, and he has to get used to quick decisions.”

Very excited to see Frank as the focal point of the summer league team.

Very excited for FJ. Dude has upside, very athletic, great shooter, and is highly motivated

I'm especially excited to see if/what he learned from Rondo (I remember reading last year that FJ was in Rondo's shadow all last season)

Trevon Blueitt

While researching the guys I have not previously heard of, his numbers jumped out. Seems strange that a 2nd team All-American selection did not get invited to the combine.

At 6-foot-6, Bluiett ranked in the 90th percentile as a spot-up shooter and the 85th percentile as a catch-and-shoot shooter, per Synergy Sports. That’s something that should endear him to NBA teams, with or without a Combine invite.

quote:

Bluiett increased his assists per game (2.5 from 2.1), three-point shooting (41.7 percent from 37.1), free throw shooting (84.8 percent from 75.4) while committing fewer turnovers (2.0 from 2.2), all while playing about a minute less per game

Interesting for sure

Maybe it's because he's 24 in November?

The accolades are all there and played in the big east at xavier

The guards will be the most interesting to watch

Athleticism seems to be lacking. Can’t find any testing numbers on him, maybe for a reason
