why on earth ould he sign with New Orleans, when his suitors include Miami and San Antonio??

cause we would pony up a bit more cash. Still with a tyreke and young core and anthony davis, it could be a great situation for him to thrive here.

He could want a fresh start on a rebuilt team. He could slowly work his way back into the league instead of being thrusted into an environment that demands perfection.

Monty was part of the staff that drafted Oden and coached him for a few years in Portland.

Could mean something if we wanted to make a run at Oden

I just don't see him joining a team that is far inferior to other teams that would like to have him bc our HC was on the staff that drafted him in Portland. And if anything playing with Lebron & Wade covers up imperfections in your game, it doesn't demand perfection.

I was going to say, he could come off the bench like birdman and just play defense and rebound. Then try to take that and turn it into a bigger contract.

That is if he can walk. When was the last game he actually played in.

ETA: His last game was December 41, 2010.
That's 5 knee surgeries and two comebacks ago.

The city demands perfection. The fans are super hard on players on teams like that.

And all of Americas eyes are on you so its not a great place to knock the rust off and ease back in.

Well it's an opinion so you can't just go out and say it's a terrible idea. Neither side of the argument can answer that yet, so it's really ignorant of you to just go out and say that.

Just ask Deshaun Thomas he's seen a whole lot more than you.

I disagree.

Were fans really hard on Chris Anderson, Mike Miller or Shane Battier? Maybe Mario Chalmers, but the focus is on LBJ, Wade and Bosh.

They all played pretty well Anderson didn't even miss a shot for awhile there. It's a lot different with a player like Greg Oden who is going to be a project for quite sometime, who is going to be rusty. But anyways we are comparing apples and oranges I really don't care that much to argue this any further.

Oden will probably get more boards from the bench than Lopez in 28 minutes of action.
