There are legitimate critiques about Monty, and I have said that it was probably the right time to move on. That said, complaining that "he just stands there looking like an old dummy" is superficial at best. I will not budge in my opinion that Monty did a better job than 90% of this board were willing to give him credit for. However, if you read the thread about OKC hiring him, it does seem that most people understand that he has real talents in coaching.

Did he make mistakes? Absolutely, but he also did some really good things for this franchise. AD is an amazing talent, but Monty and his staff absolutely helped his development, even by holding him back at times. Dwelling on his shortcomings is like the guy who talks shite about his ex-girlfriend for 3 years after they break up while saying he's glad she's gone. If he's really glad, he'd be happy and wish her the best.
