Again you keep talking like you know what’s gonna happen. You keep saying things like “outlier”. How the frick can you know? It’s been 1 game. There isn’t a history of bad games to say that this one is or isn’t an outlier. I have no idea why this is hard for your retarded arse to get. Oh and go chefs kiss a cock you loser. YOU ASKED WHAT I THINK WILL HAPPEN AND I ANSWERED. I’m not saying what will happen like it’s already written in stone, you are. Going back to the summer league I have been saying I have belief in these guys because of what I have SEEN. Get help

I know that you're getting testy with shel and not me, but...

Expecting a rookie drafted at 21 to maintain ~17/9.5 + 4 blocks per 36 is a bit of a stretch. Missi was legitimately really good in his first game, and is apparently a quick learner. I'm half-torqued thinking about his future, and he's going to contribute a lot more than almost anyone thought. But he wasn't exactly facing any elite centers tonight. The competition is only going to get tougher for him.

I just don't think that it's a big deal to be thrilled about Missi's debut, but tempering expectations a bit. As I said in another thread, I'd be happy if we just force him into lineups for at least 20MPG, even if his lack of experience costs us a few games early on.

I think what Shel is trying to say is not that last night was an outlier and that will be Missi’s best game of the season, I believe he’s trying to say that Missi will have games like that but will also have games where he goes out and gives up 10 quick points while picking up 3 quick fouls.

He’s a rookie that just started playing basketball a few years ago, he will have ups and downs and absolutely will have rookie mistakes, but what we can all take solace in is seeing last night and knowing he has the talent and the work ethic, and we don’t have another Jaxson Hayes on our hands.

Good to see the little bitches of Pels Talk in midseason form game 1.

That's you, you're the little bitch, crying because you can't comprehend a very logical take.

Keep crying like the little bitch you are.

Right. Note that I didn't call out anyone who chimed in saying Missi was awesome tonight and will contribute more than we thought. In fact, that's my entire premise.

This. That's really it. I think it's rather obvious that while we're all excited and should be from what Missi gave us last night, some folks have just gone a tad too far overboard. And while it seems like you can say "just let fans be fans" just make no mistake, 100% chance the majority of those folks have admitted to changing their expectations on Missi, so later in the season when Missi does have some struggles, folks who do have realistic expectations will know this was coming, while those who adjusted their expectations to absurd heights thinking this is the norm and our center problems are fixed will absolutely start complaining and hating on Missi. That is going to happen, but it doesn't have to.
