This is part of the reason i believe it's impossible to build a contender with Zion. He takes 0.3 3PAs per game. The only other 20+ ppg guys that take even close to that little are Bam - 0.3, AD - 1.1, and Giannis - 1.7
Difference is all those guys are world class defenders and much much better rebounders than Zion.

Please Ingram dedicate yourself to improving your 3 game. Just regress back to 2019-2021 Ingram where you shot .391 and .381 on 6.2 and 6.1 shots per game, respectively.
He’s shot around 40% for 3 for the last like month or more
Just needs to take a few more
It’s tough though. We are definitely running into the “not enough shots to go around” problem

Just scanning over it, of the 39 guys that average more 3PA than Trey, only two play less minutes. Malik Monk and Buddy. Only three out of the top 54 in attempts play less. So he shoots it at a high rate for sure.
Thanks. Confirms what I was guessing.

so now you have to find a 5 that can make up for that, and he also somehow needs to be able to shoot 3's at a high rate too.
as i said before, Zion is goign to have to be capable of guarding big 5's in the clutch minutes of playoff games.

Yep. The amount of concessions you have to make when building a team with Zion is insane.
It's why i would trade Zion straight up for Lauri Markkanen if the Jazz were dumb enough to do that.
Imagine a lineup of CJ, Herb, BI, Lauri, JV. BI would be able to walk to the rim.

I mean Zion collapses the whole defense when he dribbles inside the 3pt arc. Zion should be averaging 10 assisted 3pt makes a game.
Teammates are left literally wide open.

Between Zion's paint presence, BI's mid-range game, Herb's defense and Val's low-post game, if you told me the Pels finished the season averaging 12 3 pointers a game on 32 attempts (37.5%), I'd say that's enough to balance out our scoring. Our starting unit is just not built to shoot 3's at a high volume. We score in other ways and should make up some of the long-range deficit from the foul line.
So long as we are averaging double digit makes on 30+ attempts a night we should be good. Some nights we'll get shot out of the gym, but overall if we are an efficient 3-point shooting team--as opposed to a volume one--who also scores in the paint, goes to the line, and creates transition offense with its defense, we should be ok.
