I got the Pelicans getting the 2nd pick.

My Reasoning: Everytime I've done the Tankathon simulator we ended with the 2nd Pick the most times. Also I have a feeling we will get the 2nd pick.

I don’t believe Ivey will be a PG in the league. Combo guard as a secondary ball handler is probably where his skill set fits.

Agreed. It's alarming the number of people who think he will be this ultra high usage player who is also very efficient. I don't see it. He may become one or the other, but not both.

He's more SGA, De'Aaron Fox, or Dejounte Murray than Trae, Ja, Booker, etc.

Ivey checks every box I mentioned above

Isn’t the rumor with him that his intangibles were bad and he argued with his coach about everything?

He’s also quite possibly the laziest defender I’ve seen in quite a while. Either that or he’s just awful at guarding people, but since he’s so athletic, I find it hard to believe that he was as bad ceiling wise as his college tape shows his defense was

I was high on him early on in the year because I thought he was a PG kind of like Morant, but wow then he showed that he is not a point guard at all. I’d say he’s more of a smaller Anthony Edwards type or Russell Westbrook that doesn’t create for others as well

Don't know that it needs its own thread but I'd love to get some people's top 10 based on who you want the Pels to get. I didn't pay near enough attention to college ball this year as years past. Don't know much about these guys. I do think we need more outside shooting, whether that's a guard or forward.

Here is my top 10 as of right now, but I want to be very clear I have guys not listed like Shaeden Sharpe and Jeremy Sochan because I haven’t dove into them yet. I would expect they both slide in somewhere among this list and push out Davis and Eason.

1. Paolo
2. Chet
3. Smith
4. Ivey
5. Murray
6. Daniels
7. Griffin
8. Mathurin
9. Davis
10. Eason

My order

1. Paolo
2. Jabari
3. Ivey
4. Chet
5. Sharpe
6. Mathurin
7. Sochan
8. Murray
9. Daniels
10. Duren

Depends on the order the teams are picking in and the combine measurements. Still really early to say since there isn’t a consensus this year.

This is news too me! His mom is the head coach @ Notre Dame so I just assumed Ivey had all the intangibles.
