This team ain't going to the playoffs

All of the "west keeps getting tougher" talk doesn't mean that teams 1-8 are getting stronger, it means teams 1-12 are getting stronger. The Pelicans will most certainly be part of the last 6 or so teams fighting for the #7-#8 spot. Injuries go a long way in determining who actually ends up there. The Pelicans may not be a favorite to make the playoffs right now, but it's not laughable either.

We have a defensive minded coach and a blocking machine down low...and still gave up a shite load of points a game.

Don't be so confident..Maybe, Maybe get an eight seed. But only because the mavericks aren't that great either and Dirk is only getting older.

Monty fricking sucks...Demps fricking sucks.

the defense needs to improve, no doubt...but having Holiday back will go a long way for the D, imo...strong, long defensive PGs can have a big impact on our team D.

I don't like Monty...he's stubborn and doesn't adapt....I'm OK with the job Dell has done, but I think getting Tyreke was a good move.

there also is enough evidence that he'd coach a healthy team differently to have hope that this rudderless ship can right itself next season.

You should always expect injuries and learn to adapt. Monty doesn't know how.

This past seasons injuries were beyond reason, though

I'll give him a pass for some of it.

Continuning with Steamer and Aminu instead of giving chances to Withey / Ajinca and Miller, though, is inexcusable considering how long this went on.

Definitely agree with you on the rotations
