This is not a big shock, I'm just glad we showed the potential that we did. The team had really great moments.

This. Even without Ryno, we're still probably going to start out something like 8-4 or 9-3 before the schedule gets tougher, at which point we just have to play .500 ball until it eases up again.

The good news is that this thread made it to 60 pages.

Lets do it again Friday night, but with a win.

I feel like our spacing was complete shite for a lot of the second half too. I don't know. I just don't like the way we finished that game, you could tell we were going to lose.

i kept trying to make myself believe during the second half that it wasn't going to be the same shite as last year's 22 point blown lead, but you're right...you could see it coming. settling for shitty jumpers, coming out flat, allowing them to make their run far too early. just not good basketball. then at the end, they had a lot of chances to get things together and they settled for stupid shots.

Great atmosphere for the season opener, with a pretty rowdy pre-Halloween crowd. I was impressed with the amount of Pelicans gear being worn throughout the Pier.

After being up 16 in the first half, it was a tough loss to take... but if you step back and look at it a little harder, you'll be okay with it

Theyre a very young team, still meshing, Tyreke was out all of preseason so may be a tad rusty, Ryno was missing... Indiana is a giant team, which we knew from the beginning would cause the Pels trouble, and lets not forget that they took Miami to 6 last year. They didnt give up a 16 point lead to the Sixers (lol Miami)

and Paul George

If we miss the playoffs by one game I guarantee we'll be pointing to a late season loss to a bad team as the reason why, not an early season loss to contending team.

Any one that went to the game remember the Papa Johns promotion for the next day? I know it was like 50% off your order, but was it that the Pelicans had to win, or was it just the day after a home game? And if so, what was the code?

This can't happen against the best player on the team. Monty annoyed me last night.
