i can re-call 5 screwjobs in the second half alone. not "borderline" calls, straight blatantly obvious calls that should have been called if it was any other time.
This game was bad. Monty needed to be in their ears letting those refs have it but he didn't do shite. A lot of players feed off that too. Our guys just looked totally deflated and uninspired. Pretty frustrating considering the importance of that game.

1. Defensive 3 second that was totally missed by Dwight. 2. Harden literally tripping, still dribbling the ball and made no motion or act of shooting, gets two free throws. 3. Dwight pushes asik with two hands, Fully extended, no offensive foul call. Somehow ends up being a foul on asik after he was off balance from the shove. 4. Ball gets knocked out with <2 minutes left in the 3rs by brewer in front of a ref, not even a hesitation, out on pelicans. 5. AD snared a rebound, someone literally hopped on his back and poked it out. Turnover, rockets ball.

I think they were. Also not mentioned was the non call on the foul on QPon that dropped him like a sack of potatoes and forced the Pels to play 4 on 5.

Of course that's not a foul, hits to the face that make you look like a bitch aren't fouls.
And ptm, all in the 2nd. You can say bad officiating happens, but that was beyond reason.

The Dwit two-handed shove may have been first half, but we listed more than 5 and didn't mention others.

I really liked Jrue at the 2. We need to deal Evans for a pass-first guard. That may be a move that pushes us over the top.
Honestly, I think Jrue and Gordon are willing-enough passers. Tyreke should just see about 25 minutes and should never touch the ball in crunch time. He's either going to dribble away precious seconds when behind or he's going to get fouled and miss 70% of his FTs in crunch time.

I watched the entire second half and made note of every bad call. I'll respond to yours first, and then post others that I saw.

In other words, Howard was allowed to be in the lane since his man had the ball. It didn't matter that he wasn't "actively guarding" Asik at "arm's length" because his man had the ball.
If Asik did not have the ball, then Howard would have to either get within arm's length of Asik (or another offensive player) to remain in the lane, or step outside of it to reset the count.
Joel Meyers didn't know the rule.
The only instance of this in the second half that even remotely resembles what you are talking about, was a rebound off of a Josh Smith missed free-throw. AD grabs the rebound, and Corey Brewer pokes the ball out from behind (he never jumped). The ball is on the floor, and Trevor Ariza falls on it and calls timeout.
There was nothing close to a foul there, and nobody jumped on AD, so I'm not sure if that is the play you are referring to. But nothing else in the second half resembles the play you are talking about.
Now, here were some other missed calls I saw while watching the second half:
Harden drives on a fast break at 1:08 of the 3rd Quarter, and Pondexter purposely fouls the crap out of him, yet no call is made.
I also remember people talking about the shot clock violation in the game thread. The refs did miss that the ball hit the rim, so it shouldn't have been a shot clock violation.
However, people in the thread, and Joel Meyers on TV said that the ball was out of bounds off of Terrence Jones and it should have been Pelicans ball anyway. But the refs gave it to the Rockets.
Well, the replay shows Meyers is wrong.
Here is Evans touching the ball last (by the way, there is still 0.6 left on the clock):
Close up. May take a second to see what's going on because it's kind of motion blurred, but that is Tyreke Evan's hand knocking the ball backwards and out of bounds:
So regardless of the wrong shot clock violation call, the ball was out on the Pelicans anyway.
There was also another bad call in the 4th Quarter with 5:04 left on the clock. The referees called a foul on Harden when he defended a Tyreke Evans reverse lay-up. Harden didn't touch him. The replays showed that it was not even close to a foul. I would post pictures, but a still picture cannot convey that somebody DIDN'T foul. You'd have to see the replay for yourself.
A still picture can only capture the moment a player DID foul.
But it was a bad call, and the Pelicans got free throws out of it.
