You can't tell me any player has developed or became different than their projection in their pelicans tenure.

Herb was always elite defensively.
Trey was always a 3pt threat
Ingram didn't develop anymore and neither did zion.
Naw, Lewis, daniels, hayes, and even now Hawkins ate all meh imho.
Wait, what?

Trey
Herb
jose
Naji
Missi

All those dudes have developed at a level beyond where they were drafted.

You can't say Herb was "always elite defensively" so we didn't develop him. If 30 NBA teams knew Herb Jones was "always" a 1st team All NBA dude on defense, he would not have been drafted in the 2nd round. What about Herb shooting 40% from 3 last season? We didn't develop that?

This fanbase is full of dumbasses. The problem isn't the supporting cast but somehow they are being blamed for our lack of success. They're the least of our problems.

This. Our issues are:

- Zion is our #1 and not good enough to be a #1 and not even available
- BI is our #2 and not good enough to be a #2 and not available
- Murray is our #3 and hasn't been available and has also been terrible, as bad as he's ever been

That above is the issue.

I think Ingram can be a number 2 guy. He changed enough this year to show me he could.

We are the worst team in the league right now, by far. We are really only missing our top 2 guys. We are getting blown out every night pretty much. How are we a good team? Even missing those two players, we should be competitive. Its either that, or none of those other guys really matter. So why does it matter if they stay or go?

Because if you hit on a legitimate star in the draft, you expedite the rebuild. You don't need to blow up the entire team before you even know what your hand is. None of your young guys are on contracts that's going hamstring the team and they are good enough players you can win with if they're lead by a legitimate star.

Now if you get a dud in the draft, then yea... it's probably time to collect assets and picks.
