Gordon is an injury risk too, at least Granger has heart. Be realistic about EG's value patna Paul George, no way in hell Indy gives him up. Get Granger and a young SF to develop

ego was tank-injured. he could have played trough most of the so-called injuries. granger played some in only 4 games since the end of last reg season. thats two thats a full season + 2 playoffs. which is more serious? with ya bout paul tho!

Yea lets get monroe when we already have a pf. Im sure hell just walk over to our laps because all teams are stupid. If that's the case lets just sign cp3 now. I can't read this anymore man, it's making me angry. So g'night yun diesel. We aren't runjing out of cap space, finally when gordon is healthy we just ship him out for nothing l

1. Monroe is a Center LINK

2. They drafted Drummond who actually had a pretty good second half of the season. They will have to make a choice

3. I will never believe Gordon can be healthy (at least not mentally),fool me once not twice. You can continue to a fool though

I love the Danny Granger idea. He'd be coming home too so I'm sure he'd be happy to be here.

Everyone complains about Gordon's injury and then they get all giddy at the thought of trading for 30-year-old Granger who played a whole 4 games this year. If he wasn't from NOLA no one would want him.

To the OP, can't agree with that offseason at all. You have the Granger issue plus those Wes Johnson and K Mart contracts are terrible.

9th, 7th, 6th in PER among SFs the previous 3 seasons at 18.7, 20.5, and 24ppg (though those numbers are all reverse chronological order, he is declining). Good defender. Expiring deal. He certainly shouldn't be plan A given his age and injury, but he'd be a good acquisition.

he had to miss time last playoffs, miss this reg season and then these playoffs! the fact that he missed time while indy was really trying to win says a lot about the injury. he cant do much for us.
we have ego, lopez, gravy, a lotto pick, consensus 2014 lotto projection and about a possible 2billion in cap space to make moves with. there's no need to waste 14mil that can lock up a legit future starter or 2-3 solids.

Granger/Martin deals make some sense, but why wouldn't they just sign OJ Mayo to replace Gordon? Younger and better than KMart. He didnt play himself into a huge contract this season.

I agree 100% I rather sign OJ mayo than any of these guys

This is just inaccurate. He played all of the playoff games last year (38 mpg). This team needs seasoned vets to help Davis and put this team in the playoffs. Granger fills a huge need, if only for a season and this team needs a lead dog. Getting rid of Gordon is just a plus. It is the most logical, realistic trade option for Gordon. It helps both teams and they are taking equal risks. If you want more for Gordon, then you are gambling on him coming back and being a star. Good luck with that..

Finally a realist, thank you my man. Its 2013, Granger can come back from a knee injury, sitting out this season is a plus IMO. He could be a helluva stop gap till we develop a young SF, whomever that maybe

Why would you want to trade one of our best players for a "stop gap," though? I can understand wanting to move Gordon, but you have to establish a core of players. You can't just keep shuffling the roster and throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. That's just not how the NBA works if you're going to build a winner. If we're trading Gordon then I'd hope that it would be for another young and talented player that we can plan on building around with AD.

THIS

Gordon has had is issues here, thats a fact... but he's still young and if he can get healthy, he can be a go to scorer

You dont trade that for a "stop-gap" while you develop this hypothetical SF that is not on the roster

OK fellas it was just an idea, I don't really make any decisions for the Pels. I just don't agree with the if we can't get equal value for EG let's keep him and see if he comes around argument. Trading this dude seems like the inevitable, but if ya'll still believe in this heartless, injury prone whiner. Enjoy

Apparently, he is another player who is not a fan of the name...although maybe his opinion changed in the past 5 months.
