The offense will get there, you know the team will be based on defense.

That's true, but im just thinking as it is right now there are some massive voids in the shooting department at the 1-3 positions. That and we kinda made it a point to improve on offense, get more points.

A double down on Gordon we would need a point or 3 who could hit an open jumper. Which I don't think we have on the roster.

Yeah that was what I was getting at.

If Rivers or Gordon can get into the lane we need a big who can hit a mid range, which both Anderson and Smith can do thankfully.

That will be a big part of our offense with the pick and roll.

I hope we sign Josh Childress...although sucked after he got to Greece, he can't be worse than what we have.

I like the way Rivers is playing tonight to be honest, I mean it's not amazing but it's alright for a 19 year old rookie. He's not forcing himself into the action(a good thing or a bad thing depending I suppose tho), some nice passes, getting to the FT line and good hustle

What is the higher number?

# of times Rivers ended a play on the grounds or our shooting percentage?

Mother F. X finally makes a shot off of a nice Rivers drive and dish and they blew the whistle.

The one time we make a 3, the refs blow the whistle before the shot

Who freakin knows. I hope like hell I'm dead wrong and certainly won't be shocked if I am. For one thing, I know for certain DellMonty knows a million times more basketball than any of us, and they're certain the kid can play. Just hard not to say what my eyes see. But it's just summer league so I'll temper my expectations. I'm sure Rivers will be fine.

Miller, your best chance to get minutes is to hit your open 3's.

You are here for defense and make open shots.

Rivers has a good jumper.

Davis can hit mid range shots, too.

So if we're making predictions now (which of course is somewhat ridiculous based on 2 SL games

No predictions being made by me, just talking about training possibilities.

But isn't that what we do on message boards? Watch and evaluate, then give our opionion?

Why so hostile bruv? Just bringing the randomness with your retorts. You argue like a woman. Realizing there's nothing left to argue about, so you just throw something else in. "Yea we agree, meh...well isn't it my right to say something stupid...meh"

EDIT: I'm done with you son!

Keep this in mind. Rivers is doing a great job getting past his man and splitting the defense on the high screen and roll.

He's doing a great job creating contact and drawing fouls. And he's even looking to distribute first instead of shoot tonight.

He just needs to slow down his game a bit and play more savvy. Develop a midrange game, learn to put up the shot before getting into the paint. Improve your 3 and FT percentages.

All the latter stuff comes with practice and experience. The prior stuff is instinct and athleticism, stuff you really can't teach.
