Reports coming out that Nets not likely to keep D'Angelo Russell if they get Kyrie. Would be a killer addition.

D - Lo, Lavine, Beal, McCollum.

Pellies are trying to get a premiere 3 shooter/20 per game scorer to pair with Jrue/Zion. Before you hate on Lavine, he hit 120 3’s last season. Will be close to 150 soon.

The other guys have had multiple years with over 100/150 3’s.

Assuming we get smart and Tatum I would settle for Brogdon and Jonas Valanciunas

Smart/Brogdon
Jrue/Moore
Tatum/Hill
Zion/Wood
Jonas Valanciunas/Oak

Marcus Smart is not a starter.

How does smart function as a primary ball handler and facilitator? It seems like he’s working off ball most of the time.

If Julius opts out and you know Brooklyn won’t match they can just sign him

D'Lo would be my #1 priority. Assuming he'd want to sign here.

Grand that you'd settle for brogdan. Rookie of the year.

Still has upside.

Sure it’s competitive but how do you get Markkanen and D’Lo for AD? I don’t see that happening.

I love all these bold ideas that ring several all star level players back to the Pels but I’m afraid maybe expectations should be lowered at least a little. I heard on WWL Griffin would like 1 all star caliber, 1 solid role player and a decent 1st round pick. If true I believe that’s probably a fair value and what we should expect in return. If that’s Boston it’s probably Tatum, Smart or Jaylen Brown and the 14th pick. No stars in the bunch but something to build the core of the team around. If only we had a little more money to play with in free agency.

Langdon will go after D'lo if that's the case..

He would be a great piece at 23 to pair with Zion for his entire career..

We could do a S&T for him to save some money and send Brooklyn a "piece" in Moore..

If we knew for sure we could get him, I would be tempted to take LAL offer of Ball, Ingram, #4, future 1st, and make them send me Hart and take back Hill..

Then call up Chicago and see if I can flip Ball for Carter, draft Hunter at 4, and go into the season with a roster of:

D'Lo/Frank
Jrue/Hart
Ingram/Hunter/Kenrich
Zion/Wood
Carter/Okafor

That would still leave us with around 25 million in cap space for other moves

once more re sign and trade
there is no advantage to the player unless he is wanting to go to a capped out team.
the loophole where the player could sign for his extra year and then get traded has been closed. A sign and trade only depletes the new team of assets

if the player and the team want each other and the team has cap space the player can just sign there. Forget about sign and trade, it’s no longer a viable team building option and there’s nothing in it for the players

That doesn’t mean Russell is off the table for the pels, they would just have to get him to sign an offer sheet assuming the pels have the space. They would need 27MM in open space which means they’d have already traded Davis into some other teams cap space (somewhere other than Boston)

if the nets sign Irving they may not match. If they dont they will definitely match

Straight up-Sign Dlo using the Langdon connection.

Trade AD and Solo to Boston for Tatum, Brown, Smart, filler and 1st Picks

Trade Brown, E.Moore, filler & 1st for Markkanen..

Would Chicago do it?
