Trade BI for Brandon Miller, supposedly he’s better at him in everything. Even though he never played a second in professionals yet.

Put a lot of the nonsense on the nba 2K crowd, they just don’t understand how things really work. I guess their swap ideas look good on the computer.

Yeah I was just being sarcastic. BI is a proven player in the league. If we are in the tax, BI is worth it if we are doing well. Plus him taking over the point role has been doing well for us.

You don't have to agree but there absolutely is a legit argument that can me made that Mikal Bridges has as much trade value as Brandon Ingram.

If you don't think it's close, in either direction fwiw, then you're probably a bit biased for whichever guy you like more.

It's close. At the start of this season it was BI by quite a bit except for the few that could see (or at least THOUGHT they could see) where Mikal was headed. Now, I'd have to give a fairly decent edge to Mikal mainly due to costing $12M/yr less than BI for next 3 yrs and Bridges' defense, which is top notch. If it weren't for those 2 factors...I could more readily see why some would still favor BI over Bridges. Honestly, I'd still take Bridges over BI even if the $$ was the same. JMO...

I agree. You gotta assume Bi is not all there this year with his injury battle

It’s really not about who you like more, it’s just proper valuation. Bridges has a month and a half of elevated play to BI’s 4 years. Additionally, his elevated play is below the same numbers BI is producing currently. Idea Might remotely be considered, with Bridges defensive abilities, if Bridges was 21-22 years old but he’s actually older than BI.

Is it? He's really only below in assist numbers but I'd imagine defense easily offsets that.

If we're valuing both dudes, contract favors Bridges. If just doing on court, defense...huge advantage Bridges. Availability - Huge advantage Bridges

I know Bridges has only had 18 games in a primary facilitator so it's a fair point to say he's gotta do it longer, but I'd submit this...In Bridges 1st 18 games, he's done something BI has never done in any 18 game stretch in his 7 year career, 26ppg on 62.4 TS%. BI has never even had a single month with that TS%, short of months he only played 5 or so games. So the thing you point to as the best skill for BI, Bridges has done it arguably better in his 1st 18 games as the guy than BI has ever done it over 18 games.

All I'm saying is, if you completely dismiss as crazy talk that Bridges is better or more valuable than BI, you're probably too biased to have that discussion rationally. I didn't mean "you" specifically there, but I'm sure you get my overall point

No problems, we’re all just chopping it up about our team.
