Given how easily they made the decision to sit him, it wouldn't surprise me if we learn the Pels never wanted to play Zion in Vegas and were only strongly encouraged to play him by the NBA at least a game so they could showcase Zion vs RJ. Not saying it happened, just that it wouldn't surprise me.

Well, I'm sure that the league wanted him to play, but there's plenty of desire on the part of Pels fans too to see him play. I am 100% sure that the folks in the ticket office wanted him to play.

That is exactly what happened.
YOu could tell he wasn't in shape to be playing.
