Gordon comes out and whines and we turn to Demps and Monty and blame them about it? The crazy part is you don't hear Monty or Dell downing Gordon because they are damn adults who have no interest in making another adult look like a fool to the national media. And yet we are acting like DelMonty didn't do the right thing when we havn't even heard their side of the story. Only the side from a spoiled injury prone wannabe star.

If he's only a pretty good player then why was he the one selected to try out for the Olympic team? Do you know more about his talent than Colangelo and Coach K? You underrate Gordon WAY too much. It'd be huge to have him happy and healthy on our rebuilding team.

It's deeper than that. He was acquired by trading CP3. The whole reasoning was that we get something for CP3.
Part of the allure was his age, talent, and the fact that he would be under our control.
Sure we can get a player talented like him in the future, but we have/had one in our very own hands, as the result of what looked like a pretty good trade for Chris Paul. Whether you want to keep dismissing it or not, it's to a point where it is becoming a goddamn waste and a huge speed bump in the future rebuilding of this team.
Could it have been prevented? Who knows, the whole story isn't out. But for people to act like Dell and Monty are totally clean just because they are more likeable than the "whiny" Gordon doesn't mean anything.
