I've stayed off the Pels board because I needed a break from the drama.
I try back and this is at the top of the page

The AP article shows Zion's step dad to be an utter scammer leveraging his kid to enrich himself.
AP Article
Kid needs an intervention and deporagramming to set hoimself free of those people. Shoot, I can be his parents just for the Pelicans sake.

Would’ve been better if they sued his parents instead . I don’t see how this is Zion’s fault.

Well that's what happens when your family has the authority to make business deals/decisions on your behalf. It's just sad it came from the last people in the world that you'd expect to do something like that to you. It's sad.

I'm not saying it's a big deal as far as the Pelicans are concerned but I mean the thread title is "more drama." I don't care enough to read the post, I'm just ready for the season to get here.

Ankr stated that it agreed to make the loan on condition it be paid back by August 21, 2022, but that Anderson subsequently requested a series of extensions, and that when Ankr finally received a check for $25,000, it bounced.
JFC I haven’t even come close to making the amount of money in my lifetime that he makes in a year and I can write a 25k check without it bouncing.
His parents are bleeding him dry, could be a big reason for his heavy depression when he can’t play basketball which probably keeps his mind off it.

It was the defense, desire, hustle, intangibles, plus being an offensive force.
If you give BI the slight majority of creating over Zion, you probably unlock a more consistent version of the Apex Zion. He’s doing the other things more to stay involved and locked in.
I’d like to see Zion really focus on defense and rebounding next season. And if Team USA Captain(?) Brandon keeps developing as a passer, then the lobs Zion was catching from Lonzo will be replaced by Brandon finding him for an easy 10 points a game.

Dude needs to put his parents on an allowance and stop involving them in any decisions.
