Monty spoke repeatedly of this as a learning opportunity. It also will hopefully expand his network of coaching contacts.

Listening to him talk about the draft he seems to reiterate drafting based on need, not BPA. Sadly I think that means no McCollum. He also brings up the potential of trades. He said that we can afford to go with a project player in the draft, possibly meaning they're ok with taking Saric (assuming he remains in the draft) if he wants to stay in Europe another year, and that we'll use FA as a way to get guys who can contribute immediately.

I think teams may trade their picks because they just don't understand this draft the way that we did last year.
