Mirotic would be magical on this team.

I like Melli, but he doesn't release as fast as the other Nico..
How long is he signed overseas? Believe he plays for Barca?

5 years I think but curious to what his buyout is. Also wonder if he’d come back. He loved NOLA

I’m guessing part of his decision was getting stability for his family after being faced with joining a 4th team in about 1.5 years. I doubt he wants to come back.

No kidding. Really wish we had him.

Well I’m guessing if he were it would take a long term and no trade but that’s unlikely.
He’s also 30 I think so you’re right

I mean, the Melli is shooting a better 3pt% and has a overall better FG% than Mirotic did as a pelican. And he honestly has been playing better defense than Mirotic ever did.
Mirotic is just looked at differently because he had games where he would be an absolute flamethrower and get really hot, but he wasn't as consistent

Barca season is what? Half the nba?
He signed for less than he could have but he's in Spain. He is dual citizen, Spain is one.
Avg 16 and 8.
36% from 3.
Nothing special.
Homeboy at home.

His defense has been outstanding tonight. Especially on Adams.

Mirotic, as a Pel, shot 6% better from 3 than Melli (43% vs 37%) and scored 10 points more per game... Mirotic stats
He thrived in a Gentry catch and release system.
They are both 29 years old...
Mirotic nearly averaged 10 boards as well (9.6). Had a higher 3% with more attempts per game. I like Melli, he cool. Insert "why not both" meme!

Per bball reference (more reputable than wikipedia) those stats are wrong. Mirotic in his stent with the Pels shot 35.2% from 3, while Melli is shooting 37.3% this year from 3, even after a terrible start. He's also shooting better from 2 and playing better defense
