If Paul and Melo are playing together it'll be in NYC, not NOLA.

Paul could be a Mav by trade deadline.

First, stop pinning your championship hopes on a Chris Paul trade to the Mavs. It's just not happening so prepare yourself to be a fan of a 2 seed with an early exit from the playoffs...AGAIN.

2nd, the new CBA will likely kill super teams, so forming a big 3 in New York is not going to happen. Yes NY has a pull for Carmelo, but if he cares about winning, I think the Hornets have a much better chance to be the more attractive option. New York has Amare and several promising small forwards, the position Carmelo plays. New Orleans has decent talent everywhere except the SF spot and the center spot. If Aaron Gray steps it up enough to be our Ostertag, Carmelo would be choosing between a rebuilding project with a shitty FO in New York, or contending with New Orleans.

I'm not delusional, I know that New Orleans has to have everything fall right and be a hot team way over .500 at the trade deadline to convince Carmelo he could contend there. But if they do pull that off and he's interested in winning I don't see why he'd go to New York.

0% chance. Paul is adamant about contending for a championship. Memphis is closer to being a contender than Dallas.

He would be foolish to join the mavs. That team is not a young up and coming team, Dirk is already 32

Sources close to the situation don't expect Carmelo Anthony to sign an extension with the Denver Nuggets this summer.

Didn't they say if he didn't sign they were going to try to trade him for something. DC and West for Melo?

I still think he ends up in NY somehow though.
