League Pass with VPN on Fire TV

Has anyone in the viewing area had any success with League Pass and VPNs on Fire TV? I've gotten the VPN work around to work on my computer and phone, but not my Fire TV. It's crazy that unofficial streams are easier to access than official ones.

Fire TV has some sort of regional block on VPNs and sport streaming services. It worked for years with MLB.tv for my local games (Padres), but then I started getting blackout messages in the summer
My VPN still worked fine on PC and my phone, but hasn't worked since for MLB.

I have NordVPN and installed the Nord app directly to my FireTV. I turn on the tv fresh, turn on VPN, wait a minute, turn on NBA app, and 75% of the time it works. I said the same thing in the other NBA app thread...it's ridiculous the hoops we have to jump through to watch a team that wants our money.
