Why not. That is what many teams shoot for if they do not have a roster spot and like a prospect.

I think that what we've seen is that players drafted at the back of the 2nd round often get signed to two-ways. It's not common at the top of the round. It's probably something that a team and the agent work out ahead of time.

Of course, but it is not "burning a pick" as you suggested as there is potential value there.

Don't know much about him other than he's 6-10' and shot over 40% from 3.

Pete Nance will play in the NBA for a long time. The guy's game is a polished modern big man's skillset.
