Why would they trade the best piece they got back in the trade? They can’t tank b/c the Rox have all their picks, makes no sense.

They have their pick this year do they not?

Unless they are convinced a Simmons-centric team has a future, I wouldnt be hanging up on any offer for guys that ate their peak will never be more than 3r options offensively(Mikal), and an anchor defensively(Claxton).

Pretty sure Utah has it thanks to the Royce O’Neal trade this past offseason.

99% sure their 2023 first is a Houston swap option.

And since Houston will remain bad, it would not be a bad idea to ensure that both picks end up top tenish so they can hopefully at least nab one player mostly in their control.
