buddy for cousins even up since cousins only 1 Year and buddy on rookie deal

pels keep draft pick.

I admit I was in love with buddy. But so was sacto.

Kings turned that pick into 2 decent players.

So they got three guys and the pels got one season.

This board seems to have lots of posters wanting to sweeten deals with pels picks.

There is a large contingent of people on here, myself included, that were against the Cousins trade from the beginning and knew that he would never re-sign here. So it is hardly hindsight to lament that trade..

This is a joke right?

First off, there was never any "large contingent of people" that didn't love the Boogie trade. Those people would've rightly been eaten alive for their idiotic comments.

Secondly, an achilles tear for Boogie is something NO ONE ever did or could have predicted. Had it not been for that injury, the Pels 100% would have offered Boogie a max deal. Zero doubt from anyone about that.

Lastly, every piece of evidence we have suggests that if Boogie would have been offered the max by the Pelicans, he would have resigned. He was close to home, didn't care about playing in a big market, was winning for the first time in his career and was doing it with one of his best friends in the league. Boogie was happy in New Orleans before the injury and the Pelicans were happy with Boogie. To suggest otherwise is BS and everyone knows it. Dell made a no-brainer trade that was sending this franchise in the right direction and fans were more excited about New Orleans basketball than ever before. Personally, I think that achilles injury was the nail in the coffin for the AD era and probably Dell Demps as our GM. It was terrible luck that no one could have seen coming.

So stop telling people you knew it all along or whatever BS you're spewing here. You are a either clueless or a troll, I can't tell which. Your comments are a joke, own that.

I have never heard of you or seen you on this board. So let me assure you that there were many people opposed to this trade. Maybe I am the most vocal or out front, but there are many. The guy was a thug, malcontent and constant underachiever who had a horrible reputation, plus was a coach killer.

If candy and nuts.. Cousins, like Davis, has an extensive injury history. Of course no one can predict an injury. But the guy gets injured a lot and just happened to miss most of the season that we traded for him.

No. I said for months that he wouldn't resign. A dozen teams would have offered him the max. He showed everybody that money wasn't everything to him. He wants his respect. The Pelicans already costs him a ton of money by trading for him. He never forgot that.

No thanks. You can go through my post history. I have never changed my stance on Cousins or this trade. I've debated it up and down, against many posters. I've been on this board for a long time and not going anywhere. So get used to it..

bruh, the # of the whole "malcontent" and "thug" was overplayed so freaking fast. Other players came to his defense his entire careers, one being Rajon Rondo.

He was a model citizen here as well

His injuries: ankle, foot, knee? Most of them coming near the season end and Sacramento shutting him down as well?

You also had the greatest out with a potential career-ending or at the very least a career-altering injury.

That's like me saying, "Houston is gonna miss the playoffs" and then Harden goes down as well. The likelihood is low even if he's healthy as there is still a possibility, but that altering event just made things nearly impossible for them to make it. Something nobody could predict.

At this point you really can't go wrong with either player.

For the sort of bizarre internet war between fans of either player, they have both largely lived up to each fans relative expectations.

Buddy is a dead eye shooter that can get you boards and has improved his team D. Murray is a dynamic player that can put the ball in the bucket and has steadily improved as a facilitator. In hindsight, for our needs, Murray makes more sense next to Jrue, but both have proven they belong in this league and then some.

They really arent even comparable anymore

Buddy was a 21 year old college sophomore

Jamal Murray is currently 21 years old leading his NBA team in minutes

It was beyond obvious that Murray was the better pick. Incredible how bad demps is.

And leave it to dell to end up with neither and nothing to show for that draft pick. fricking unacceptable and this organization will not receive a dime from me going forward.
