Is this true about Zion

Got this off yahoo sports about hypothetical Pels / Warriors trade. Anyway I thought Zion contract was now fully guaranteed, but this says it’s not:
Both Williamson and Poole are on expiring contracts. Technically, Williamson is signed through the 2027-28 season, but the Warriors have the option of not guaranteeing his $44.8M salary before the July 15, 2027 deadline.

From my understanding, if he plays a certain amount of games this year (40 something?) then his contract next season is fully guaranteed. If he plays less than that -- or is waived before he reaches those games played this season-- then his 27-28 season contract only counts for 8mil. guaranteed (for meeting weight requirements) against the cap.
So if Z gets hurt and/or is playing bad before the trade deadline, Pelicans or another team that trades for him, could cut him and only uave to pay 8mil. contract hit for the next season 27-28.

I doubt the Warriors want Poole. Also , IF Zion's contract can be voided at the end of the season, you don't trade him for 37 year old coming off of an ACL injury who makes more than him. Zion has the chance to impress some people this season and increase his trade value. If you get Butler for 56 million, no one is touching that.

Yes. Weight benchmarks several times throughout the year and minimum games played requirements. Just like last year.
