You're an idiot.

He passed on a 4 year/160M deal from us, because he wanted a 5 year max. That's a fact.

He took a 3 year/120M (3rd year is a player option) from the Raptors. So less money. That's fact #2.

When we didn't give him a max, he sat out the next 60 games with an "ankle sprain". Nothing questionable there. That's fact #3.

If we did cave and gave him the max, he wanted, that's 5 year/250Mish. So add that to our current cap. Try to figure out a way to shed 50M to get us under the tax line. We are easily over 200M, even with savvy moves, and we still suck.

The Raptors are a good fit for him. He gets a ton of money with no responsibility and doesn't have to be the best or most clutch player on the team. No pressure playing in a great city with laid back fans. Rich Paul did right by him.

Don't act like this is a fact. That's a rumor. there's nothing concrete out there that says he passed on this b/c he wanted more.
The common sense answer is he didn't want to be here anymore, so he gave them an ultimatum he knew they couldn't and wouldn't match. I've literally done the same thing in my profession when wanting to leave a company and they asked me what it will take to keep me, and i said a ridiculous number and they actually considered giving it to me, which was surprising, but even if they would have, i still wasn't accepting it b/c i wanted out.
When someone leaves and takes less money, it was never about money. They hated where they were and didn't want to be there anymore.

Your basketball knowledge is beyond comprehension.

That was never going to happen, from us or anyone else, and he knew that. Stop making up shite.

Hate to break this to you, but he's averaging 22ppg, tops on the team, and he also has the most points in the clutch on the team this year.
Yea Barnes is probably their #1 guy, but don't think for a second that they don't expect BI to hit the game winners over there.
