re: Ingram questionable tomorrow (non covid-illness)

The ongoing need, or choice, to accomodate Ingram's playing style is a fundamental issue for this team. Brandon is a talented player, but he has declined--by his actions--to refine his shot selection in the way CJ has. And the starting unit's hideous rating in crunch time is due in some measure to his reluctance to change roles on the team.

I understand. As was shown over the summer on the U.S. Select Team, BI is not comfortable playing off the ball. But the Pels are not going to challenge for a championship if Brandon takes the most shots, is paid the most money, and is the go-to guy at crunch time. He's a one-time reserve All Star. He can't be our lead dog...

In the NBA there are primary options and role players (some players can vacillate between the two). BI is in the mold of a primary option, the problem is that he's probably the 30th best primary option in the league. We'd be much better off with an upper tier role player (or someone who can be both) in his spot.
