We ride or die by Trey. He shoots well, we win. It’s that easy.

Yep. If he doesn’t, we need CJ to score even better to pick up the slack. But he has rarely been that dude this season

A few crazy things about this:
This was just the second time in NBA history that 3 players on one team scored 30+ points and made 5+ 3pters in the same game. The first time was just a few hours before as the Knicks did it earlier yesterday.
A team having 3 players score 30+ has happened 19 times in NBA history with 3 of those times coming this season but happened 0 times between 1962-1972, 1997-2010, 2012-2019
The Pelicans have tied the NBA record with having 7 players score 35+ points in one season (1971 Sonics and 2021 Raptors were the other two teams)

Problem is, this year's ride has been like watching your mother-in-law drive your brand new car over a cliff.
We could have been cruising to the WC or NBA finals, and here we are, having to scrounge our way through the play-ins .
Last night was a good game and I do look forward to whatever games we have left. "You gotta Fight".

If the ball doesn't move, Trey doesn't score. A lot of times he scores is in transition or penetration and the ball is kicked out..
Trey stands around too much. He's too good of a shooter not to move around. Probably what willy is telling him though.

It has been so fun and exciting to watch and be a fan of this Pelicans team this year. The team was in sync playing well when it was decided that we had the deepest bench in basketball. Jose brought a fire and desire and solid play which united fans and team. Trey will be a legendary player as a Pelicans. So many fans are witnessing what a hard working, dedicated athlete can do and learn to do.
It is a very long season. You have got to have faith and belief in what you have. The future is bright.
Trey is special. His ceiling may even be brighter than BIs. His ability to grow in the past two seasons is extraordinary. CJ has shown guts and leadership for this young team. He is a glue that was and is needed to complete this roller coaster season. Even JV has won us some games this year. He is not fleet of foot, but is a warrior in the middle.
Green for all the shortcomings, took a team to over .500. He is a methodical rah rah coach, but has had many good moments, and games, and stretches where the Pelicans have shined.
The short term future is bright. The long term future is bright.
Go Pels!
