Impossible to get excited about this team

Retread Coach who will get to the 9th or 10th seed every year. 0 momentum in terms of consistent wins. I want to believe but they won't allow it.

I'm the opposite. I'm more excited about this team than ANY team in Pelicans history.
After going through the Eric Gordon and AD years, having a young core with Zion, BI and co. with tons of future draft capital to boot, has me more interested and optimistic than ever.
And it's not just the bright future, this team is actually fun to watch. I can even enjoy the losses, because I know our young guys are getting better with each game. I am enjoying the ride with this young team. If you ain't, then flock off.

I'm excited about our future, but man it's hard to watch them this year minus zion. I think I speak for many fans on this board in that we are tired of the "potential" and "wait til next year talk with our picks". I'm also pretty concerned we will waste zion like we did AD and CP3. I will say one thing, I like the players we have in that they don't seem too political and just play ball. Even lonzo with all his tats is fine with me bc he never seems to start shite and plays hard. It's refreshing in today's pro sports. Our coach is obviously another story. Dude needs to lay off the twitter and concentrate on coaching.

my complaint.
point zion will be attacked at mid court in any playin or playoff game.
unless you have one of the best big defenders you cannot let him get up a head of steam.
zion rushing to the rim is the pels offense.
any opponent knows it.
I doubt it works in the playoffs.
and please do not whine that they will miss 10th. they will call you and you will be there in 20 minutes.
even hayes looked good at his one good thing yesterday.
lots of dunks and close in play.
one defense miscue I remember.

Bruh there is nothing exciting about this team yall are bugging. The correct term is unachieving. Or cheeks if you prefer that. Season after season after season after season after season of average to below average. New players new coaches new FO same shite. But go ahead...let them lie to you for one more season. You deserve it.

Pelicans remain and continue to appear to be nothing but a 2nd rate NBA franchise. As in years past under Dell and Gentry,, both the GM and Head Coach still suck and are below league average, at best.

I think most people had these high arse expectations of playoffs and I'm not sure why. This team roster wise isn't built the best. To me even before the season started I always saw us as a possible 10th said or 9th. Maybe competing for playin game. this is first year where BI and Zion are the men of the team. I'm not upset this season now 2-3 years down the road if we having these same dicsussions then it's a cause for concern.

We know who we are, we are a shite team defensively and a non consistent team.
Which is why I'm advocating for this to be a development season over a jeckel hyde team. Choose a side. I'm choosing a side where we sell at the trade deadline and play our younger guys more.

We were never going to be competing for a Larry this year or next year or even last year. We are in the rebuilding process. We have our main two guys and a coach to get us through this process. Stan may not be the guy of the future but he is the bridge from old Pels to new Pels. Take a breath and r-e-l-a-x. We will be fine.
