you're reading that wrong. The question was would you cease to be a fan? he said "not me"(as in he'd continue to be a fan) I think.

Of course. I remember I was little when the Hornets first came here and I was immediately intrigued by them being "our" team here in Louisiana. Been hooked as a fan ever since! If CP3 leaves it'd be hard as he's been my favorite Hornet since they've been here in NO but eventually I'd be able to move on.

It depends.

If he took Monty Williams' sorry arse with him, then I definitely would be still be a fan.

If Paul left and Williams stayed, I'd still be a fan but I would hope for a miserable season to facilitate a coaching change.

Chris Paul WAS the best pg in the NBA. Now, Deron Williams, Rondo, Derrick Rose, maybe even Russell Westbrook have passed him. It's not his fault....his knee is just janked. I hope it gets better, but true New Orleans Hornets fans....for the sake of the future of your franchise, you probably have to unload him with some terrible contracts...hope for a change in ownership and start this process over again. It sucks, but that's how things go. I know it looked promising a few years ago.

Laugh if you want but you're being a homer. I love the NBA and don't actually have a team. I have teams i like and teams I don't like but I don't have a favorite team. I'm able to look at players objectionably and rank them properly. Ask yourself this question....would the Hornets do a deal for any of the players I listed for CP3 right now? Yes. Would the other teams do that deal? Hell no. There's your answer. Chris Paul is still a top 20-25 player in the league but, at least for the time being, his skills have dropped off because of his knee. I hope he gets those skill back because when I watched him against the Spurs a few years ago, it was like nothing i'd ever seen on a basketball court. He could get anywhere he wanted at anytime and no one could stop him. He's not that player anymore.

pretty solid post.People here don't understand the severity of the knee.In retrospect, keeping collison(or bayless) and having a two point guard system might have been the best thing for paul in the long run.Bone on bone is never good,Brandon Roy can attest to that.
