Which players would you target?

There are better trade packages out there.

Lakers would probably give three firsts for Murphy. Pick 25, and a 1st in 2031 and 2033.

There is no chance we could get a top 4 pick for Murphy (those teams are not trading out). Most of the remainder of the top 10 projected guys are PGs or combo guards that aren't great fits next to Fears. So, I don't see the need to make that move. I know there were a lot of rumors about us targeting Mara or Ament, who are both top 10ish guys. I don't think either are worth giving up Murphy.

I still want to get into the 1st though, and I'm going to keep ringing the bell for Graves. He's the type that can slide into Murphy's role eventually (if we traded him away in another deal)..

Trey is on a friendly contract and the only first round pick that’s worked out since CP3 but sure let’s send him out for picks.

Top 10 is a wide range. I don't think I care for anyone outside of the top 5 right now.

Just what we need, more 1st 5-6 years off for Joe to trade up 4 spots in the draft or trade for someone like Terrance Mann.

How is that better than a top 10 this year?

To me, just don't trade Trey. Get whatever you can for Zion & dump his contract. Package Poole & Herb and get what you can for that. Then start gaining more young talent.

We can't be rebuilt to compete in the playoff this year or likely in the next two years. Make this a three year rebuild and go all out year 3.

I agree. With the Spurs and Thunder set to control the West for several years, we should be accumulating assets and young players.

The nba is one of the most fluid leagues. We've had different champions for the past 8 years.
