That's a big negative. I was just unfortunate enough to get all the way through to TTT's post and wanted to save him some time.

Insane.

And you think this is actually believable. The only reason I continue with this comedy is that is just proves that you are making empty claims.

More empty statements. Stick to the topic. you continue to deflect at every turn. You still can't prove anything and often times use 247 articles as "credible sources" . Please prove that your statement about Sullinger is true.

You're the one who brought it up and acted like it was credible. PROVE IT. Don't give me the politician answer and deflect.

I'm still waiting as is everyone else who is reading.

Sorry about that. We jacked the thread, and I'm as guilty as the charlatan.

I should not have done that.

I'll take my licks. And done with him.

Apology accepted?

Cool.

So . . . would you trade the 10th pick to dump Ariza's salary in 2013-2014, allowing an amnesty on Okafor to clear his books that same season, which is when the new tax rules take full effect?

In this scenario, is our only "benefit" of trading the 10th pick to get rid of Ariza, or are we getting something in return?

I don't think dumping Ariza (or amnestying Okafor, for that matter) for the sake of dumping him are necessary with the current make up of the team unless we have some plan being put into motion to improve.

After next season, both will be expiring contracts and hopefully we could move them then.

But to make a short answer long, no I would not dump the 10th pick just so we could get rid of Ariza now.

This helps?

who is the guy on twitter who puffs his chest when he "hits" on something?

for the record i never said he ripped this. I just asked. It is kind of weird it is on that other forum with the same exact players involved.

I go back and forth. If I can get Marshall, I don't trade. Not sure on Leonard. The rest, outside of the stud six, I'm listening to offers.

I just can't get away from the idea that being flexible in that offseason going into 2013-2014 could prove very beneficial.

It all depends on who is there at 10 for me.

And I don't see anyone getting amnestied this year unless there are moves that can be made of the "Nick Collison" variety and we move Okafor somehow.

Mike runs the twitter.

If I replied to you, at some point, it was just the last thing in the thread. Mike has described his twitter use in the podcasts and has described his sources before in various ways on the site.

If you don't like the chest puffing, more power to you. I know I'm an `acquired taste' and I'm sure the rest of them are too. Very sure.

However . . . stuff like the `above' fuels the hitting . . . I never get that vibe from him. We get beat up alot, and still share and work and write. Big dummies, we are.

I'm not a Marshall fan at all.

We're looking pretty flexible to me. All we have for that season is LINK Okafor, Ariza, and Smiht expirings. Gordon (hopefully). And Davis and any other picks. Anyone else is a team option.

I still would like to move Ariza and Okafor. The latter more than the former, but I wouldn't be hasty and get rid of them just to do it because a less than appealing deal comes along.

Agreed 100%. No reason just to dump him. The move has to be there. Dell does not like working with free agents. He likes relying on the draft not much better. He likes control, trades.

Having the option to do the dump to pick up a good free agent or two would be nice. It's too hard to see (for me) this far out, I just know that offseason could be key.

As far as Marshall goes, I think he's great at what he does and brings something, along with Leonard, that we don't have (different things, clearly) AND we may not be able to pick up later: size and someone who is top 3 at something.

Everyone else is good, but not exceptional at anything. It's a tough puzzle and good problem to have.

Im not hating. I enjoy the info.

But people like Fletcher Mackel do the same thing. They make sure and tell you how right they were. Borderline unprofessional.

If you're going to act like the authority on the Hornets(which yall come pretty close to being), then you need to own it & let it speak for itself.

Just my opinion. Sometimes i'll read a tweet and just laugh. It's like he's screaming "you better take me seriously!!!"....when most people already do

I'd like to try to get Westbrook for Okafor and Ariza.

He is going off right now!

I'll pass it along, for sure. Legit criticism is always welcome.

We should probably stop talking about that though. That's not why I come here.

Thoughts on trading 10?

Keep it and build that draft player up! :hornets:

ETA: A young core will serve us well for the future rather than trading for a vet right now

for the right piece, trade it.

for the right "young" veteran, sure. But don't force it.
