That 1st half seemed to be all we could pull up against this team.

Irritating.

No matter. Suck it up. Get ready for Monday. Trade deadline looms and then a nice All-Star break.

Still missing our starting center maybe?

Plus, Thornton's minutes in the 2nd half didn't come at the right time.

I think Thornton should've started the 3rd, so he could properly finish the 4th.

I think it was the fact that we was leaning so hard on Thornton and the other team keyed in on him but the rest of our team couldn't make the other shots...

They slaughtered us on the boards and in the paint. Having Ariza back was huge but Aaron Gray is still a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge step down from Emeka Okafor. Hopefully he is back after the All Star break and we can go on a nice streak again.

We could have won if we made shots late.

I realize that smith and Anderson think they are Reggie miller reborn and can hit the long jumpers but they can't. If they get the ball just pass it to someone else.

The Bulls made shots when it counted and the Hornets didn't. This is what the playoffs will look like. West and CP3 will get taken away and it will be up to Thornton, Ariza and Okafor to score.

Someone has to pick up the scoring load when CP3 and West get shutdown. Belinelli, Green, Jack and Andersen can put up decent points on occasion. Thornton is the only other player on the team capable of doing it semi regularly. That's why everyone has been saying we need to bring in a stud SG, because this team as presently composed will have to catch a lot of breaks to get past the 2nd round.

You know, for a long time I've said we need a back up big first and foremost. But now I've come around to thinking we need help at the two even more. Our backup bigs aren't great but they seem to get a somewhat passable job done by committee. In any event we need another consistent scorer. Maybe get the other big for next season.

To be fair we really need both. Yeah we couldn't score when it counted but we couldn't rebound most of the game either, we had a 21 rebound deficit. It was a close game until the end, so getting more boards probably would have helped as much having another scorer. More boards could have kept it from even getting close in the first place when we still had the lead.

I'm still pissed about the game. The crowd was into it last night and when Thorton was going off It was out of control crazy
