We have had young, unknown guys break out every single year under Willie. Blaming Willie for Hawkins not developing is silly

He’s not even really good at shooting 3’s. I hope they package him as salary in a trade this offseason. Brooks and Reeves both are better players to me and it’s easy to see. Boston too but he is hurt. Hawkins needs to be a 40% 3 point shooter to cover for his lack of any defense but this year he’s shooting 33%. We have several young, cheap guys that can form a pretty good bench next year, I just don’t see a role for Hawkins in New Orleans. Bad pick by Griff.

When do we have to pick up his option for 26/27? Is it before next season? If so, I wouldn't do it. Which means he would be an expiring next season. I'm not sure there would be many teams wanting to trade for him then..
