Everyone is fine with a rebuild until they have to watch one. This is a young team, new coach, they have to figure it out together. This isn’t a flip a switch on process.

You’re going to drive yourself insane nitpicking everything right now. If you’re not happy with just staying above .500 this year than you’re asking for too much.

Take a deep breathe, enjoy the fact that we even have basketball, and chill.

It’s just so hard to watch us piss away games every night.

BI is one of the best players in the league right now. I would say at the very least top 15.

How many top 15 players are on teams that look like this consistently?

Posters telling people to settle after a ridiculous loss where our team looked like shite.

A PT tradition like no other.

The rebuild was supposed to start last year I thought, yet there were posters claiming that the Lakers were scared of us getting the 8th seed.

We spent the offseason talking like we were competing for anywhere between 8-6 seeds, then we beat the Raptors to open the season and the vibe on this board was that we were going for a top 4 seed.

Now everyone is acting like we were supposed to expect to lose three games in a row the way we did.

No one is acting like this. We all can take our fandom rose tinted glasses off and see that this a flawed roster that is nowhere near its final form. The Pels haven't even had the opportunity to cash in on any of the picks outside of the Laker pick last season. Maybe our expectations were too high and that's ok because that's what fans do. The Vegas preseason lines had us as a .500 team and finishing in the 9th seed. As of today, that seems to be about right for this team.

This is two games in a row where we have a "settle down, we have no expectations this year" thread on this board.

We’ve lost to 2 of the worst teams in the league... at home... and comically fricked up what looked like massive W against Indiana at home too...3 on the bounce.

It’s a complete shite show, embarrassing play and completely unacceptable.

Some players shouldn’t even see the fricking floor on how they are playing right now... where as some guys can’t even get 1 minute, when all around are playing absolute turd and underperforming massively.

Melt.

The season is young. Kira has plenty of time to get quality minutes this season. NAW is getting a lot of minutes after getting none.

We let the early success up our expectations which was not warranted.

I guess the frustration isn’t solely this season’s apparent mess in isolation.... it’s every season, repeatedly. The same tired story.

When does it ever change? WE are always being told to wait...and always putting up with mediocrity at BEST!

We have 2 elite talents on this team and some decent supporting cast...and still nothing.

I’ve followed the franchise 25 years and we’ve been to the playoffs maybe 8 times.

That’s the pelicans constant theme

“be patient. rebuild. Young this, coaches that, medical staff this, gm sucks need a new one. Got a new one. Yada blah yada blah yada blah. It’s been that way since nola had a franchise. Pelicans, like the hornets before, are and always will be a farm team.

It sucks, but it’s true.

A rebuild didn’t start til last year. Before that was always trading away picks for “young vets” so I already know you’re clueless.

And to the other poster, “all offseason”?? This team literally had no offseason and has a new coach with a completely different philosophy. I’m sorry if I didn’t expect a team of majority under 23 year olds to just snap into form 10 games into the season.

If you expected absolutely anything higher than “man it’d be really nice to make the playoffs this year” then you either aren’t paying attention or are just expecting too much too fast.
