We also ignore herro, who was a solid shooter. He would absolutely fit us right now

Whatever company the Pelicans hired to find their VP did a shite job on picking Griffin

No way they were taking Garland in any scenario that year simply because he's represented by Klutch

Same with Hunter, who when healthy

He misses more games than Zion....

Draft record is not great, but at the same time it seems they were swinging for the fences hoping to hit on a high ceiling guy that could be that 3rd star next to Zion and Ingram.

But NAW and Jaxon must prove to be valuable rotational players at a minimum this year so as to not be labeled busts.

NAW isn't a lottery pick. He cannot be a bust.

If that’s the case, the pick should have been Garland. He was viewed as the home run or bust prospect. Hunter was viewed more as the solid double prospect.

And they failed

if you want a league that hands out participation trophies for trying, switch to a kids soccer league

If Garland was represented by anyone else I would agree with you, but his agent is RP and no way they were going to go with that debacle again that quick.

I'm not sure how you do it better without an NBA savvy person inside the Benson inner circle though. Griffin clearly wasn't the right choice, but picking both the top veteran and up and coming candidates on the market at the time was the right move to make.

Maybe they can ask Pat Riley who to hire.
